The SMART Board is a interactive, electronic whiteboard which can enhance instruction and student learning.  The SMART Notebook software makes it possible for teachers to create content rich, creative lessons which address specific curriculum standards.  Every classroom at FDES is equipped with an interactive

      AirLiners to allow teachers to interact with the Smartboard form anywhere
      in the room.

Compass Learning~

CompassLearning provides engaging activities for students. Compass Learning's curriculua is grade-appropriate including lessons, activities, quizzes, animations, audio, and video instruction. CompassLearning’s  focus is to provide students with highly engaging, interactive content that fosters their interest in learning! While working through the activities, students enhance critical-thinking skills. These skills are similar to those found on state and national tests. Our curriculum, developed over more than a decade by CompassLearning, offers language arts, math, science, and social studies focusing on the foundation skills that are so important.  Students in grades two through five participate in Compass Learning at FDES.

Waterford~

Waterford builds early foundations in reading, math, and science for learners from Pre K–2. The engaging digital curriculum supports your core program with explicit, individualized instruction that is aligned to current state and national standards.  Students Pre-K through First Grade participate in the Waterford Program at FDES.

READ 180~

READ 180 is a scientifically based, intensive reading intervention program for students in upper elementary through high school that has been proven to significantly raise the reading scores of older, struggling readers(4th and 5th grades). READ 180 delivers its reading achievement gains through four core instructional activities:

1. Individualized instructional software.

2. Data-driven small-group instruction.

3. Direct instruction in whole or small groups.

4. Independent reading.
